About

Hi, I'm Henrique.

I am originally from Brazil and moved to the US in 2015. I have two beautiful children. I live in a trailer and I am always moving; most of the time you will find me somewhere around Seattle, Washington.

I thought about becoming a coach many times in my life, and for a long time I did not let myself do it. Today I coach people in English and Brazilian Portuguese who want their lives to feel like their own. I am also an entrepreneur, building Lastro, a platform where coaches can offer their clients support around the clock through an AI companion that answers based on the coach's own method.

This is how I got here.

The year everything moved

In 2023, at 46, I started a cycle of changes that touched every part of my life.

I learned that I am neurodivergent, autistic and ADHD, and that led to a deeper look at my identity and at the choices that had taken me to that place. When I embraced my autism, a lot of moments and decisions in my life started to make sense. I felt an immense urge to change. I had a boost of energy and, at the same time, I was completely lost. I had gone far away from myself, doing what I thought was right, trying to be successful by following the playbook I had learned.

In the same period I separated from a long marriage and changed teams at work. There were many ups and downs as I looked for a way out of the life I had built for myself and could no longer handle. There was no plan. I took time to look at my priorities and at who I am, and I talked with people going through something similar. Some of the support I found was helpful, and some was not.

The way out

In December 2025, two months after I left Amazon, I heard about a book in an interview.

It was The Way of Integrity, by Martha Beck, and it showed me the path I had been looking for. I read it and did all its practices in less than a month. By March 2026 I had read many of her books. As I kept reading and practicing, I was learning to listen to my body and let it guide my choices. My old, hidden wish to become a coach grew stronger, and at the same time I was feeling more alive, more energetic, happier. I was still interviewing for jobs like the one I had at Amazon. Then I learned that Martha Beck had a training program for coaches.

In May 2026 I decided to become a coach and to join the next Wayfinder program, and I wanted to practice. I offered free coaching to some friends, and some courageous ones accepted the challenge of helping me practice and learn. While I practiced and shaped my approach, I wanted to give my clients support between sessions, around the clock. I started with WhatsApp and email, and I began researching how an AI companion could answer my clients based on my method. That research became Lastro.

What helped most was learning to listen to what I already knew and to act on it in small steps.

Coaching and me

My body won, and I am glad it did.

I had worked with coaches as their client for more than 25 years, and I had practiced coaching as part of my work as an executive and product leader, and as a volunteer. I knew what it could do. For six months my head told me to keep looking for a job and my body told me to stop and become a coach. In October 2026 I started the Wayfinder Coaching Program.

Some days the pressure to have everything figured out is still strong. I am learning to let myself stay unfinished for a while. I tell you this because if your life is shifting right now, I know what it feels like, and I know you do not need the answers before we talk.

"There comes a time in every life when the past recedes and the future opens. It's that moment when you turn to face the unknown. Some will turn back to what they already know. Some will walk straight ahead into uncertainty. I can't tell you which one is right. But I can tell you which one is more fun."

How I coach

I do not bring the answers. I help you find them inside you, and trust them. We check each choice against how it feels to you, not only against what looks right on paper. Between sessions you do short practices, and that is where most of the change happens. Sessions are online or in person, one to one or in a small group, indoors or outdoors.

See how we work together

Before coaching

For more than 25 years, I built payment products and led product, partnership, business development, and sales teams for companies in the US and Latin America, including Amazon and McKinsey. I also have an MS from Stanford GSB and two other MScs from top Brazilian universities. That work taught me to ask "why" early and often, because the first request is rarely the real problem. I ask the same question in coaching.

Two languages, two countries

Born in Brazil. At home in the Pacific Northwest.

I was born in Brazil and have lived in the US for more than 10 years. I coach in English and Brazilian Portuguese, and you can switch between them whenever you want.

In Brazil Iemanjá is the orixá of the sea in Afro Brazilian traditions. I made her my protector. She stands for my connection with the water, the mix of cultures I come from, and my love of exploring and wonder.

Ospreys have been part of my life since I moved to Seattle. I've seen them so many times, and their presence on my sea kayaking trips has been so strong that I have one tattooed on my arm. Together with Iemanjá, they have been guiding and protecting me through my own transformation. The osprey, a bird of the water, stands for clear sight and for finding the way, and I am bringing them here to guide you on your journey.
